Kim Wagner
Expert - South Africa
Kim Wagner is a South African journey designer, community builder, and social impact advocate whose life and work are deeply shaped by the country’s history. Growing up on the Cape Flats during the apartheid era, she was exposed from an early age to systemic injustice, the struggle for freedom, and the resilience of communities fighting for dignity and equality. The momentous change ushered in by South Africa’s first democratic election left a lasting imprint on her and continues to inform her worldview today. With over 28 years in the African travel industry, Kim has worked across a wide range of roles, giving her an intimate understanding of the continent, its people, and its stories. Her work is driven by a desire to showcase the beauty of Africa’s landscapes, people, wildlife, and the many extraordinary experiences the continent offers, while remaining deeply respectful of its cultural and historical context. She remains passionately involved in disadvantaged communities and believes strongly in the power of access, opportunity, and shared experiences to drive meaningful change.
